Sascal Displays will provide Rugged 8.4” Land Display Systems to SELEX Galileo for Driver Night Vision and Situational Awareness.

Sascal Displays announced today that they have been awarded the contract to supply equipment for the Viking, Warrior and Challenger II military vehicles. The 8.4” Rugged Driver’s Displays are designed for all harsh environments. The displays are tested within a wide range of criteria, including shock, vibration, humidity, temperature and are also approved at EMC Land Class A.

The fully featured displays include programmable controls for analogue and thermal imaging cameras; the pre-loaded software is configurable to the specific applications the mission dictates.

Sascal Displays is a leader within the defence electronics market for high quality design, manufacture and support services offered to the UK MoD and Prime Defence Contractors. Their primary product range is Rugged Display Systems for harsh environments - of which military vehicles dominate.  Many military products can currently be found abroad on active service, utilised for Driver Night Vision, Situational Awareness, Fire Control, Gun Mounting, RADAR Scan Conversion and a multitude of other operational requirements.

Aside from military projects, other areas of specialty include display systems for simulation, medical and civil purposes where a requirement for high specification equipment exists. Sascal Displays operates from two sites located in London, UK – including a secure 13,000 sq. ft. clean manufacturing environment which is fully static controlled. The company is fully approved to ISO9001:2008 and products are qualified to various requirements including DEF-STAN/MIL-SPEC and the rigorous EMC Land Class A.
